BUTTE, MT : Virginia woman dies in Interstate 90 crash in Montana on Sunday, 6th November 2016
A 21-year-old Alexandria, Virginia woman was killed and two other people were injured in a rollover crash on Interstate 90 in western Montana.
The Montana Highway Patrol says the woman was westbound between Garrison and Drummond when the car went off the interstate and onto a frontage road near the exit for Jens. The woman overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll several times. The car ended up back on the interstate on its left side.
Trooper James Handy tells The Montana Standard that the woman was dead of a head injury when troopers arrived just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
A 22-year-old man from Redmond, Washington and a 21-year-old woman from Snohomish, Washington were taken to Deer Lodge Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
The victim's name hasn't been released.
