Adamsville, AL : Two adults, five children ejected in Minor Parkway rollover crash on Wednesday morning October 15th 2014
Seven people were thrown from an SUV when the vehicle flipped Wednesday morning near Minor High School.
A mother, father and their five children ages 2 months to 8 years old were in the vehicle, a GMC Yukon.
The crash occurred about 8 a.m. in the 2200 block of Minor Parkway. The father was driving when the SUV ran off the pavement, overcorrected and flipped on the roadway, Adamsville Police Chief R.W. Carter said.
All seven people -- the adults weren't wearing seat belts, the children weren't in car seats -- were ejected, Carter said.
The children were taken to Children's of Alabama, and the parents were taken to UAB Hospital.
The injuries didn't appear life-threatening, Carter said.
"If everybody would ahve had seat belts on, it wouldn't have been that bad," Carter said. "The law of averages favors seat belts."
