Tuscaloosa County, AL : One person killed and one injured in car collision on Highway 43 at Max Vincent Road in Samantha on Tuesday, Aug 4, 2015

State troopers are responding to a deadly crash involving two cars in Samantha.

The wreck happened on Highway 43 at Max Vincent Road. One person was killed on impact and another person has been airlifted to UAB Hospital, according to Sgt. Alex Miles with the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

Witnesses told deputies they saw the drive who died driving northbound on Highway 43 and it appeared their vehicle drifted into the other lane.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name.
