An emotional prayer service was held after a 15-year-old girl was killed in a crash in Weymouth this weekend.
Several ambulances were called to the the scene of the crash that happened at 583 Union St., just after 11 p.m. Saturday.
The car ended up in the front yard of a home along that road after striking a utility pole, several cars and a tree.
An off-duty Boston firefighter heard the crash and rushed to help.
"It just was like what the hell just happened? You get out, you see the pole here, you see my car is missing and in the neighbor's yard, you see another car, then bodies. You assess it quick and get in there," said Steve Rodriguez.
All four people who were in the car were taken to South Shore Hospital, where the teenager was pronounced dead. She was later identified as Kate McCarthy.
McCarthy, a student at Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree, and one other person were ejected from the vehicle in the crash.
"When we got the phone call this morning, we were absolutely devastated," said Michael Volonnino, Principal of Archbishop Williams High School. "This is one of the worst things that could happen."
The school's president said the school will be open all through Sunday afternoon for anyone who would like support.
Counselors are available Sunday and throughout the week for the school community.
Names of the other injured people have not been released.
Police said the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
