Jefferson City, MO : Clarksville teen injured in crash on Monday, October, 23rd 2017

Alyssa M. Smith, 16, of Clarksville, went by private vehicle to Pike County Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries suffered in a one-car crash at 4:40 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, in rural Pike County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Smith was driving a 2006 Saturn Ion on Route D 0.6 mile north of Bridge A3872.

Officers said she swerved to avoid an oncoming car, then overcorrected and went off the east side of the road, hitting a utility pole and a tree.
