SCHERTZ, TX : Woman crashes car into daycare injuring 7 kids on Friday, February 3rd 2017

Seven children were injured Friday morning after a car crashed into the Choo Choo Xpress Child Care facility in Cibolo, Texas.

Police were dispatched to the daycare in the 750 block of Schneider Drive just before 11 a.m. and found a Mercedes SUV had wrecked into the front of the daycare.


Lt. Chris Kotzur with the Cibolo Police Department said the driver, an elderly woman, attempted to pull into a parking spot when she accelerated into the building.

Kotzur said six kids and the driver were taken to area hospitals.

One child was taken to University Hospital, five children were taken to North Central Baptist Hospital and the driver was taken to Northeast Methodist Hospital.

Another child was injured, but was released to a parent after being treated at the scene.

Conditions of those taken to hospitals are unknown.
