DEWITT, NY : 1 taken to Syracuse hospital after rollover crash on NYS Thruway on Sunday, 28th July 2019

A Massachusetts woman was taken to a Syracuse hospital early Sunday after her car rolled over as she exited the Thruway in the town of DeWitt, state police said.

Rebecca Robinson, 49, of Pittsfield, was driving a 2003 Toyota four-door car on Interstate 90 East when she slowed down at mile marker 276 at Exit 34A (Syracuse-Chittenango-Oswego-I-481) and began to exit the Thruway. As she drove along the ramp to the Interstate 481 exit, Robinson’s car went off the south shoulder of the road, struck an embankment and then a chain link fence, state police Sgt. Michael Page said.
