Boston, MA : 18-year-old bicyclist died after a crash on Thursday, Oct 8, 2015

Officials say a Boston man has been indicted on charges stemming from a crash that killed an 18-year-old bicyclist.

The Suffolk District Attorney's office said Thursday that a jury indicted 27-year-old Gregory McCoy on charges including manslaughter while operating under the influence and leaving the scene of a collision causing death.

Authorities say McCoy was speeding through a residential area on May 19 in his friend's Cadillac. McCoy then allegedly slammed into a BMW stopped at a red light, sending both cars through the intersection and hitting Fritz Philogene who was standing with his bicycle.

Not guilty pleas were entered on McCoy's behalf in May to charges including motor vehicle homicide. His attorney previously said McCoy understands he faces "very serious charges."

McCoy is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
