Montgomery woman dies in Elmore County crash in Alabama

A two-vehicle crash early Friday morning in Elmore County claimed the life of a Montgomery woman.

Linda Ann Worthy, 64, was killed when the 1998 Buick Park Avenue she was driving collided with a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, driven by Stephen Grier, 21, of Wetumpka, a release from the Alabama State Troopers states. The crash occurred at 12:35 a.m. on Alabama 111 at the 7 mile marker, five miles north of Wetumpka.

Grier was taken to Baptist Medical Center South for his injuries, said to not be life-threatening. State Troopers continue to investigate the incident.
