SARASOTA COUNTY ,FL : 5 injured in I-75 crash in Sarasota on July, Wednesday 5th 2017

Five people were hurt in a multiple vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on southbound Interstate 75 at the River Road exit.

Multiple agencies were dispatched to the scene just after noon.

Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Greg Bueno confirmed that there were five patients, including one that was taken to the hospital.

“It involves four cars and one semi-tractor trailer,” Bueno said. All southbound lanes opened again at about 2 p.m.

A crash report will be released later this afternoon, he said.
