Gulf County, FL : Eastpoint man dead in a motor vehicle accident near Old Niles Tram Road on Monday afternoon, May 2, 2016
A motor vehicle accident in Gulf County Monday afternoon left a passenger dead and the driver in critical condition.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, a truck driven by Charles Golden, 17, of Eastpoint was traveling south on State Road 71 north of Port St. Joe with passenger Bobby Gene Creamer, 43, of Eastpoint when the truck crossed the center line, traveling to the other side of the road and making contact with a tree near Old Niles Tram Road.
Following the crash, which occurred just before 2 p.m. ET, first responders pronounced Creamer dead at the scene. Charges are pending against Golden who was transferred to Sacred Heart Hospital on the Gulf in Port St. Joe to be treated for his injuries.
