Two people are seriously injured after crashing into a tree in West Fargo.

The West Fargo Police Department reports that the crash happened in the 500 block of Seventh Avenue West at 12:38 a.m. Sunday, July 24.

The driver, Lucas Soberg, 24, of Fargo, was traveling eastbound on Seventh Avenue when he failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the road. The vehicle crashed into a tree.

Soberg and his passenger, Dylan Lehman, 26, of Perham, Minn., were transported to an area hospital for serious injuries.

It appears alcohol was a factor in the crash with charges pending, the police department said.

The accident remains under investigation.
