MOIRA, NY : Moira woman killed in auto accident on Saturday, December, 16th 2017

A Moira woman died in a single-vehicle accident here early Saturday morning.

Jessica A. Snyder, 28, was found pinned under a 2004 Chevrolet after an accident at 2:38 a.m. on Clark Street in the Town of Moira, according to a New York State Police news release.

A preliminary investigation established that the 2004 car was traveling north on Clark Street on the snow- and ice-covered highway when it left the west side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

Snyder was found trapped under the vehicle by responding Fire and EMS personnel.

Franklin County Coroner Brian Langdon responded to the site and pronounced her deceased.

Langdon authorized removal of the body and ordered an autopsy be conducted at a later date.
