A Michigan woman was flown to UW Hospital with serious injuries after being a passenger in a suspected drunken driving crash early Friday, according to a release from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said a Cadillac driven by Michael Green, 42, of Muscoda, was speeding south on County Road G near Old Blue River Road in the town of Muscoda when he lost control while negotiating a corner. He drove on the west shoulder of the road, slid sideways across the road, went off the east side of the road, drove through a yard and struck a tree with the front passenger side of the vehicle.
Terrie Delinski, 41, was extricated after being trapped inside the vehicle and was flown to UW Hospital. Gree and another passenger, Howard Miller, 37, of Michigan, were also injured.
Deputies said Green was cited for first-offense operating while intoxicated causing injury, failure to maintain control and operating left of center.
Muscoda EMS, Blue River EMS, Med Flight, and Muscoda fire and police departments assisted at the scene.
