The Colorado State Patrol has released the identities of two drivers involved in a fatal head-on crash and car fire in Niwot on Monday afternoon.
Clayton Moon, 19, of Dacono, was pronounced dead shortly after the collision at Boulder Community Health's Foothills Hospital, CSP Trooper Josh Lewis said.
Lewis said the other driver was Raymond Bass, 51, of Milliken, who was transported to the same hospital in critical condition.
He said Moon was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze eastbound on Colo. 52 when he slowly veered into the westbound lane, colliding with a 2006 Dodge pickup truck driven by Bass.
Drugs, alcohol and speed are not suspected as factors in the crash.
