Maybee, MI : Man dies after Raisinville Twp. crash on Tuesday, April 4, 2017

A Maybee, Mich., man died today after his pick-up truck struck a ditch and overturned several times, officials said.

Alec R. Harwood, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Mr. Harwood was driving northbound on Baldwin Road, north of Stewart Road, in Raisinville Township about 5:39 a.m., the sheriff’s office reported. Mr. Harwood’s truck left the roadway to the east and entered into the eastside ditch of Baldwin Road, which caused his vehicle to overturn several times.

Mr. Harwood was ejected from the vehicle, and he was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the sheriff’s office.

The crash remains under investigation.
