May Township, MN : One dead in Stillwater-area collision involving dump truck on Monday afternoon, June 20, 2016

A two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in May Township, north of Stillwater, killed one of the drivers.

The vehicles collided shortly before 2 p.m. at the intersection of Manning Trail and 170th Street North, according to the Washington County sheriff’s office. One driver died at the scene, while the other was evaluated and released. There were no passengers in either vehicle.

The vehicles involved were a sport-utility vehicle and a dump truck, according to law enforcement audio posted by Police Clips. First responders from the Scandia Fire Department, Lakeview EMS and Forest Lake Police Department were dispatched to the scene along with Washington County deputies.

Identities of the people involved were withheld Monday afternoon pending notification of family.
