Loveland, CO : Man killed in crash on 402 in Loveland on Wednesday, 29th August 2018
A man died after reportedly turning in front of a semi-truck on Colo. 402 east of County Road 9E.
Loveland police said they were called to Colo. 402 and Charlotte Court at 6:09 p.m. Wednesday. After preliminary investigations, police said that a man driving a 1998 Dodge Truck was headed east on 402 and attempted to turn left onto Charlotte Court, turning in front of a westbound semi-truck, according to a press release from Loveland police.
The driver of the Dodge, an adult man, was pronounced dead on scene. His identity will be released later by the Larimer County Coroner's Office.
The driver of the semi-truck, 31-year-old Robert Ramirez of Fort Collins, was checked out on scene by paramedics, and a passenger in his semi was taken to a Loveland hospital with what police described as "non-life threatening" injuries, the press release states.
Colo. 402 was closed after the crash and remained closed for several hours due to continued investigation by the Loveland Police Technical Crash Investigation Team and the County Coroner's Office.
