Wausau, WI : Teenage victim in fatal crash identified on Saturday October 22 2016

The teenage victim of a fatal crash in Oneida County has been identified as Michael J. Wanty, 17, of Rhinelander.

Oneida County dispatchers received a call around 11:41 p.m. Saturday from a member of Wanty's family after he didn't return home from a drive, a release said. Deputies found the vehicle and Wanty in a ditch near Oneida County C and Tenderfoot Road, a release said. It appears the vehicle hit the northbound shoulder, over-corrected then veered into the opposite lane of traffic and left the roadway, police said.
