Man killed by hit and run driver in Marietta Georgia

A young man was killed after being hit by a car in Marietta Wednesday night.The victim was struck at around 10:30 p.m. on Interstate 75 north at Delk Road.

His body was found by responding Marietta police officers. The victim's name has not been released; investigators said he appears to be in his early 20's.

Marietta police spokesman David Baldwin said the man's injuries were consistent with being hit by a car, but no one else was at the scene and no witnesses have come forward.
The Cobb County Medical Examiner will officially determine the victim's cause of death.
