Alexandria , SD : 53- Years old man was killed after he lost control of his truck while drivingeastbound at Interstate 90 on Monday morning, January 19th 2015

A Blackhawk man has died after authorities say his pickup truck collided with a semi-truck near Alexandria on Monday morning.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 54-year-old Derek Miller was driving eastbound on Interstate 90 when he lost control of his truck, crossed the median and entered westbound traffic.

Miller's truck collided with a semi-truck being driven by 53-year-old Ray Wells, of Fayette, Missouri.

Miller was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from his truck. He sustained fatal injuries.

Wells received minor injuries.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
