Oak Park, OK : Female dies after I-16 crash on Thursday, 13th December 2018
A 47-year-old female from Savannah died in a crash on I-16 in Oak Park.
On Saturday December 8, at 1:41 p.m., emergency units were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash with entrapment by mile marker 91 Eastbound on I-16.
The Nissan Altima sedan had impacted with a tree well off the roadway. A passerby was able to get the operator out of the vehicle, which had started to burn. CPR was begun on scene and continued during transport to Emanuel Medical Center by EMS.
Responding to the call were Oak Park fire and police departments, Emanuel County Rescue 1 from Swainsboro, Emanuel County EMS, Emanuel County sheriff’s deputies, Stillmore Police Department, the Georgia Department of Transportation’s CHAMP unit, and troopers from Swainsboro Post 19 of the Georgia State Patrol, who are investigating the crash.
