Simpsonville , SC: 69 - Years old man was killed after Four Vehicle Crash near 4 miles south of Simpsonville on Sunday , January 25th 2015
Simpsonville, South Carolina
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports a crash involving four-vehicles just south of Simpsonville left one man dead.
Lance Cpl. Tony Keller said it happened on Sunday at 7:45 p.m. on South Carolina Highway 418, about 4 miles south of Simpsonville.
Troopers said William Donald Gentry, 69, from Piedmont, was driving a minivan west when he drove left of the center line and hit a tractor-trailer head-on near Fork Shoals Road.
His car then hit an SUV. They said he was not wearing a seat belt, which caused him to be ejected and hit by a pickup truck.
The Greenville County Coroner's Office reports Gentry was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner will perform an autopsy Monday.
