BUCHANAN TOWNSHIP, MI : Bicyclist dies in Buchanan Township crash on Sunday, 5th November 2023

A bicyclist is dead after a crash Sunday night in Buchanan Township.

The crash happened just before 7:50 p.m. on E. Galien-Buchanan Road near Wells Road. Deputies say the bicyclist and the car were both heading west at the time of the crash.

The bicyclist was identified as Penny Ann Frank, 53, of Buchanan Township. The driver of the car, an 18-year-old Weesaw Township woman, remained at the scene of the crash and has been cooperating fully with the investigation.

Deputies are still working to determine the cause of the crash. Once the investigation investigation is completed, all findings will be reviewed by the Berrien County Prosecutor’s Office to ensure the proper application of the law.
