FLOYD, NY : Driver killed in town of Floyd car crash on April, Thursday 27th 2017
The driver of a vehicle who crashed into two trees in the the town of Floyd earlier today has died of his injuries, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
Derek Calandra, 35, of Camroden Road, was operating a 2007 Cadillac northbound on Camroden Road when his car traveled off the western side of the road and struck two trees before finally coming to rest around 12:20 p.m., deputies said.
Calandra was taken by AmCare Ambulance to St. Luke’s Campus of the Mohawk Valley Health System, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
State police and the Floyd Fire Department also responded.
The accident remains under investigation.
