JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO : 1 killed in crash involving SUV, semi in Johnson on Wednesday, 2nd January 2019

One person was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash that shut down WIS 26, northbound and southbound near Linmar Lane in Johnson Creek in Jefferson County on Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 1.

Officials with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said a preliminary investigation revealed an SUV headed west on Linmar was attempting to turn south onto WIS 26 when it collided with a semi headed south on WIS 26. A passenger in the SUV died at the scene.

Sheriff’s officials said other occupants of the vehicles were taken to hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
