TANGIPAHOA PARISH, LA : Bicyclist injured in hit-and-run crash on Highway 1064 east of North Oak Street in Tangipahoa Parish on Saturday, 2nd March 2019

Louisiana State Police said a man on his bike was injured after being hit by a vehicle.

LSP said 39-year-old Ryan Stinson, of Amite, was riding westbound on Highway 1064 east of North Oak Street in Tangipahoa Parish around 11 p.m. Saturday when a vehicle, also traveling westbound, went off the roadway and struck Stinson.Stinson was taken to North Oaks Medical Center where he is in critical condition, but stable.

Police said Stinson was riding his bike on the grass and gravel side of the roadway where there is no shoulder.

Stinson was ejected from the bike.

From evidence gathered, police believe they are possibly looking for a maroon Ford F-150.
