Pensacola,FL : Man, woman checking on crash victims hit and killed by car on April, Monday 30th 2018

Authorities say a man who was hit by a car while checking on victims of a crash in Florida has died from his injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol tells news outlets in a statement that 21-year-old Kyle Harrison died on Monday.

Patrol spokesman Eddie Elmore says Harrison was in a three-vehicle wreck on April 25 in Pensacola and had gotten out of his truck to help the others involved.

The statement says a pedestrian, 34-year-old Dannah McCormick, also stopped to assist.

An 80-year-old driver from Arizona failed to see McCormick and Harrison standing in the road and struck them both. McCormick, a nurse, died from her injuries.

A driver and three children in the initial crash suffered minor injuries.
