Victoria, TX : A two-vehicle wreck sent a man to the hospital with serious injuries on April, Sunday 30th 2017
A two-vehicle wreck sent a man to the hospital with serious injuries Sunday afternoon.
David Delacruz, 22, of Victoria, was headed southwest in the 5500 block of Lone Tree Road in a 1995 Ford F250 towing a 1988 Nissan 240 with a tow strap. Roy Alvarez, 21, of Victoria was operating the Nissan, said Branden Allen, traffic safety senior patrol officer with the Victoria Police Department.
The Nissan veered to the right for an unknown reason and struck the guardrail on the east side of the roadway about 3 p.m. The vehicle vaulted into the air, leaving the roadway, and came to rest on its roof under the bridge over Placedo Creek.
Alvarez was transported to Citizens Medical Center with serious injuries and later transported Sunday by air to San Antonio Military Medical Center. Monday night, a hospital official said there were no records of Alvarez at the hospital.
The Ford was not damaged. No other occupants were in the vehicles besides the drivers, Allen said.
There is no evidence that alcohol or drugs were factors in the wreck, police said, but speed was still being investigated as a cause of the crash.
