Corpus Christi, TX : A Corpus Christi man was killed on Thursday, December, 21st 2017
A Corpus Christi man was killed when the Jeep Rubicon he was driving veered into oncoming traffic Thursday night.
A Chevrolet Suburban traveling westbound on Farm-to-Market Road 43, near Church Unlimited, tried to avoid the Jeep, said Department of Public Safety trooper Sgt. Nathan Brandley. The accident occurred a little before 10 p.m., just west of Corpus Christi.
The two vehicles collided head-on, he said.
The driver of the Rubicon was later identified as 36-year-old Donald Martin of Corpus Christi. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Suburban was taken to Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline with serious injuries, but was in stable condition as of Friday afternoon, Brandley said. Other passengers in the vehicle were not taken to the hospital, he said.
The accident remains under investigation.
