Kansas City,KS : One person dies when truck rear ends a vehicle, crashes head-on into another in Olathe on Tuesday, 8th May 2018

One person died Tuesday morning when a box truck rear ended a vehicle and then crashed head-on into another at Santa Fe and Parker Streets in Olathe.

The crash occurred about 6:40 a.m. as a large box truck was headed south on Parker. The truck struck the rear of a vehicle. As the truck continued south, it crashed into a vehicle headed north. The driver of the northbound vehicle died at the scene, police said.

No one else was injured in the crash, police said.

Police have closed the intersection at Santa Fe and Parker while they investigate the crash. Police asked drivers to follow officers directions on detours. Drivers also were urged to avoid the area and find an alternate route through the area.
