Jacksonville, FL : Motorcyclist Bret Warren Castleberry, 43, dies in hit-and-run crash on I-295 and Butler Boulevard in Jacksonville on Saturday morning, Aug 8, 2015

An unidentified motorcyclist was killed after they were hit by an SUV early Saturday morning, Florida Highway Patrol reported.

The family of the motorcyclist has yet to be notified.

Just after 5:30 a.m., the rider of the motorcycle was coming onto I-295 from Butler Boulevard and reportedly lost control. The rider road down an embankment into oncoming traffic on I-295 SB and then they were struck by a dark-colored SUV, FHP said.

That SUV did not stop, according to FHP, and its whereabouts are unknown at this time.
