Dozens of people came together Tuesday night to remember a bicyclist killed in east Charlotte.

Alfred Gorman, 73, was riding his bike at the intersection of Parkwood Avenue and Hawthorne Lane late Sunday morning. An accident nearby sent a vehicle careening toward Gorman and hit him.
A ghost bike now sits near the accident site in honor of Gorman.
The intersection where the accident happened is widely known to be dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists -- because of its narrow sidewalks, lack of bike lanes and busy traffic.
