SHREVEPORT, LA : 2 killed in wrong-way accident on I-49 identified on Sunday, 4th February 2024

Two people who were killed early morning in a wrong way crash on Interstate 49 have been identified.

The Caddo Parish Coroner's Office identified the victims as Paul W. Hawkins, 45, and his passenger, Marcus H. Holloway Jr., 33, both of Shreveport.

Shreveport police said Hawkins was driving south in the northbound lane and hit a box truck head-on near the Kings Highway exit.

Hawkins and Holloway were pronounced dead at the scene. Two occupants of the truck were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
