Two people were flown to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center following a Tuesday afternoon vehicle accident on state Route 135.

The Garrett County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that a vehicle traveling westbound traveled off the road and struck a guardrail.

The victims weren't identified, and the severity of their injuries was unclear.

The accident remains under investigation, the sheriff's office said.
