North Fort Myers, FL : North Port driver hurt in North Fort Myers crash on Monday, 13th April, 2020

A North Port woman is in critical condition following an early morning crash Monday at U.S. 41 and Pine Island Road.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Michelle Diane Aguilar, 31, was was travelling north on 41 in a 2017 Kia Forte and failed to stop for a red traffic signal.

Aguilar's car hit the side of a 2019 Freightliner semi that was travelling east on Pine Island Road.

She was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital. The driver of the truck was not hurt.
