Haddam, CT : Woman injured following crash on Parker Hill Road on Saturday, July 30, 2016
A victim was taken by medevac helicopter for treatment over the weekend after she crashed her car into a tree, causing her serious injuries.
Haddam Volunteer Fire Company crews were called to a motor vehicle accident at 6:10 a.m. Saturday on Parker Hill Road near the Beaver Meadow Road intersection. A driver lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree, according to fire officials, who added that firefighters extricated the unconscious woman. The driver was taken by Haddam Volunteer Ambulance to Middlesex Hospital in Middletown where she was taken to Hartford Hospital via Life Star. Life Star could not land in Haddam due to dense fog, a Haddam fire spokeswoman said.
The cause of the accident is unknown and Connecticut State Police are investigating.
