Hayfield,VI : W.Va. man dies in rollover crash on August, Friday 18th 2017

A driver was killed in a rollover crash on Northwestern Pike (U.S. 50) between Back Mountain Road and Silverrod Lane at about 2:20 p.m. Friday.

Steven Shipley, 49, of Augusta, W.Va., was pronounced dead at Winchester Medical Center at 2:58 p.m., said Sgt. F.L.“Les” Tyler, a Virginia State Police spokesman. State Police Trooper Thomas H. Seagle, who helped investigate the crash, said Shipley was driving westbound when he lost control of his 1999 Chevrolet Blazer and veered left across the median and eastbound lanes.
