EMMETSBURG, IA : 1-vehicle accident leads to OWI arrest on Thursday, June 1, 2017

At approximately 7:59 a.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle accident west of Emmetsburg.

The accident report states that Cory James Peterson, 31, of Spencer, was eastbound in the 4300 block of 360th St. when he lost control of his 1996 Ford F-150. Peterson traveled to the south shoulder before fishtailing to the north shoulder and then back to the south side of the road, in which Peterson then rolled over, coming to rest on the vehicle’s wheels in the south ditch.

Damages sustained are reported to total $4,500, and no injuries were reported.

Peterson was arrested for OWI (second) and then transported to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office and placed in jail where he is awaiting an initial appearance before a judge.
