St. Marys, GA : Two Folkston women killed in a head-on collision on Highway 40 west of Kingsland on Saturday night, March 4, 2017

Two Folkston women were killed in a head-on collision Saturday night near North Shore on Highway 40 west of Kingsland.
At about 7 p.m., Nicya Jackson, 23, was driving a 2008 Toyota Avalon west on Highway 40 when a 2015 GMC Sierra pickup truck traveling east crossed the double yellow line and struck Jackson’s car and the 2013 Nissan Altima behind her, according to a preliminary investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
Jackson and Jaqhayla Houston, 22, who was riding in Toyota’s back seat, died from their injuries.
The front seat passenger in the Toyota, Breonna Milton, 21, of Folkston and the driver of the truck, Russell Morgan, 50, of Woodbine, were both injured and taken to the hospital.
The accident is still under investigation and charges are pending, according to GSP.
