Farmington, CT : Car collides with sewer truck in Farmington head-on crash on Tuesday, 3rd September 2019

A car driving on the wrong side of the center line collided with a sewer truck carrying an approximately 3,000-pound load in a Tuesday afternoon crash on Route 4 in Farmington near the water treatment facility.
Farmington police Lt. Tim McKenzie said police received a call about the head-on crash at 12:36 p.m. Tuesday.
The sewer truck operator was driving on the correct side of the road near the Modern Tire & Auto Service. The truck belongs to Canton-based Suburban Services Sanitation, Inc.
A car traveling in the opposite direction moved into the truck’s oncoming lane, as the car driver attempted to pass a turning vehicle in her own lane, McKenzie said. The truck driver tried to avoid the collision, but couldn’t.
