Titusville ,FL :Child critically injured when car crashes into light pole on Wednesday morning ,September 2nd 2015

Two children were hurt Wednesday morning when the vehicle they were riding in crashed into a light pole, according to the Titusville Fire Department.

Authorities said a 22-year-old woman was driving with an 8-year-old and 11-year-old in the car shortly before 8 a.m. when they slammed into the light pole on North Washington Avenue.

The 11-year-old child was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital with critical injuries, while the 8-year-old was taken to Parrish Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver, whose relationship to the children is unclear, refused treatment at the scene, officials said.

The cause of the crash was not released.
