Monett, MO : Aurora teen injured in wreck on Saturday, December 3rd, 2016

An Aurora teenager was injured in a wreck on Saturday at 4:30 a.m. on Highway 39, three miles south of Mt. Vernon.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Rachel Negre, 17, of Aurora, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe southbound when her vehicle ran off the west side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

Negre suffered minor injuries and was transported via private vehicle to Cox Monett Hospital.

She was not wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.
