Austin,TX : McAllen man charged in July wreck that killed 2 persons on may, monday 8th 2017

A McAllen man has returned to Brazoria County to face intoxication manslaughter charges related to a Highway 36 collision that left two people dead and four more injured last year.

Derek Alan Fuentes, 27, was booked into the Brazoria County jail Monday on two second-degree felony counts of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle, nearly a year after the July 19 crash that killed Jerry Lee Lewis, 30, and Jodi Polasky, 42, both of Freeport. He was released the same day on bonds totaling $160,000.
