WAYLAND, MO : Alexandria woman seriously injured in crash west of Wayland on Sunday 30th April 2023

An Alexandria woman was seriously injured in a Sunday morning crash west of Wayland.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2012 Ford Escape driven by Janice D. Barnes, 41, of Alexandria, was heading east at 11:45 a.m. on U.S. 136, two miles west of Wayland, when it traveled off the right side of the road, struck a driveway embankment and overturned.

Barnes, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Air Evac to Iowa City, Iowa, with serious injuries.
