KANSAS CITY, MO : Child in critical condition after being struck by van in Midtown hit-and-run on Wednesday, 14th February 2024

Kansas City police stated a girl suffered critical injuries on Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a van.

Officers reported that a white van was headed northbound on Oakland Avenue near 33rd Street about 4:45 p.m. when a juvenile female ran into the street in front of the vehicle.

The van ran the girl over and drove off without stopping.

The girl was taken to a hospital where she was listed in critical condition.
