BOWLING GREEN, OH : 21-vehicle crash plugs up I-75 northbound on Saturday, March 18th 2017
A 21-vehicle crash on northbound I-75, north of Bowling Green, plugged up the interstate for hours Friday, the Bowling Green post of the State Highway Patrol reported.
The crash occurred just north of Ohio 582. State troopers arrived at the scene about 11:56 a.m..
Six commercial vehicles and 15 passenger vehicles were involved. Three occupants of passenger vehicles suffered serious injuries and three others received minor injuries, the patrol said.
All the injured were taken to hospitals by emergency medical services.
The cause of the crash is unknown, the patrol said, but heavy snow was falling.
Northbound I-75 was closed until about 3:25 p.m. There were numerous secondary crashes that occurred as a result of the first crash, the patrol said. All the secondary crashes were cleared by about 4:30 p.m.
