Middletown,DE : Two hurt in Middletown collision on September, Sunday 24th 2017
Two people were injured in a collision early this morning on Cleaver Farm Road in Middletown.
The crash happened at 1:05 a.m., in the 300 block of Cleaver Farm Road, north of East Main Street (Route 299), said New Castle County Paramedic First Class Yvonne T. Russell.
When New Castle County Paramedics arrived, they found two patients.
The first patient, 29-year-old man was trapped in his vehicle. Fire company personnel had to pry open the vehicle to remove the patient.
He had suffered injuries to his chest and leg, Russell said. He was taken to Christiana Hospital by Volunteer Hose Company ambulance, accompanied by County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.
The second patient, 36-year-old man, was already in the care of emergency medical technicians. The patient suffered injuries to his head and chest. He was taken to Christiana Hospital by Volunteer Hose Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.
The Middletown Police Department is investigating the crash.
Responding agencies at the collision were Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, the Middletown Police Department and New Castle County Paramedics.
