Rochester,NH : Rochester man killed in three-vehicle crash on June, thursday 8th 2017

A Rochester man was killed in a three-vehicle crash on Thursday morning.

Somersworth Police said Joseph Gibson, 45, of Rochester, was transported to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, with serious injuries, where he later died.


The accident occurred just before 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Blackwater Road and Old Rochester Road.

Police said a Chevrolet Cobalt was traveling west on Blackwater Road. A witness indicated the collision occurred in the intersection.

Somersworth Police and fire units responded with American Ambulance. Dover Police, Rochester Police and State Police assisted with closing the intersection while the investigation was conducted.

The Strafford County Regional Accident Reconstruction Team provided several members of the team to assist with the investigation.

The road was closed for more than four hours.

Police did not provide information about the drivers of the other vehicles or whether any charges are expected.
