NEWTOWN, CT : Newtown man seriously injured in I-84 crash on Monday, 23rd November, 2020
State police are investigating a Monday night crash on Interstate 84 that left a 20-year-old Sandy Hook man seriously injured.
Emergency personnel responded to the westbound side of the highway near Exit 9 after a 2011 BMW sedan crashed into a wooded area around 11:30 p.m.
State police said the vehicle crashed about seven-tenths of a mile east of the exit after going into the right shoulder area and off the roadway.
The driver, Michael Kiszniewski, was seriously injured and transported to Danbury Hospital by Newtown Ambulance, according to authorities.
The car, which sustained front and driver side damage, was towed from the scene.
